Hispanic street gangs have been active in Seattle since the early 1990's. A lot of our Hispanic gangs have been brought here by Los Angeles, California gang members, but we also have several local start-up Hispanic gangs as well.
There are several neighborhoods in Seattle where you can find Hispanic gang activity. Those neighborhoods are Beacon Hill, Boulevard Park, North Seattle, Rainier Valley, South Park, White Center and the neighboring cities of Burien, Sea-Tac and Des Moines.
Most of our Hispanic gangs are in alliance with Surenos 13 or La eMe, but in the past year I'm seeing and hearing about more Norteno 14 gang members showing up in Seattle with ties to well established Norteno gangs in Yakima, Washington.
