Idaho is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the US. It's northern border lies along the Canadian provinces of British Columbia. Idaho borders Nevada and Utah to the south. To the east Idaho borders Montana and Wyoming. To the west of Idaho lies along Washington and Oregon.

In 2006, the census bureau estimated the state's population at 1,466,465. The largest city and capitol is Boise.
