May update 05/17/2012
It's been a busy month for me trying to keep on top of all the gang related news this month. Honestly I'm falling a bit behind.. Trying to juggle work, family and keeping up with the website takes a lot out of me. I have a lot of ideas for the website, I hope I can get to them all. Here is a little rundown of what's been going on.

Hey once again I apologize for not doing more frequent blog updates. I've been keeping busy with researching gang activity in our neighboring border cities. I'm currently looking for info on gangs in Crescent City, CA, Tulelake, CA, Yreka, CA and Cache County, UT. So far just by random online research I've composed a pretty good list to start. I'm doing this because gangs don't have boundaries, they travel across city, county and state lines to conduct business, so I'm going to start keeping track of cities with gang activity that are in close proximity to the Pacific Northwest. Also in the near future I hope to have my Montana State gang listing posted again. If you can help me with any info from Montana please send me a email or leave a comment on this. I'm following news of a fatal shooting last night in Sunnyside, WA. A 18-year old named Frankie Bautista was shot and killed at South Hill Park. At this point I can't find him having any strong gang connection, but the police have already identified a suspect as Ismael "Jokester Lok" Garcia, also 18-years old who is a documented North Side Varrio 14 gang member. Two other teenagers have been arrested, but their name has not been released yet. On another note I made a recent update to the Grant County gang listing, and removed 5 street gang names who are no longer active. The list I have posted now for Grant County is very accurate according to a few local gang members. That is all for now! -Brad- Historical Timeline project 03/15/2012
Hey everyone just wanted to check in since I’ve been absent for the past few weeks. I’m working on a new project that has been keeping me busy. I am building a Historical Timeline of Yakima Valley Gang Violence. There will be three parts (Sunnyside/Grandview; Wapato/Toppenish; and City of Yakima). Right now I’m working on Sunnyside/Grandview and am doing pretty well. I’ve traced back some stories to the early 1990’s and have found the origins for many of the local gangs. You can help me if you want. If you know the history of any local gangs you would like to share info on please send me an email at northwestgangs@gmail.com or if you’re following me on Facebook send me a private message. Things I’m looking for are names and dates/year when the gangs started, by who, names of victims who have died due to gang violence. Names of homies locked up in prison. Just basic things like that. I would really like to hear from people who were around this stuff in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. Once finished I will publish this on my website and Facebook page. Thursday, February 23rd, 2012 @ 5PM Word coming down to me that a Florencia 13 gang member was shot and killed by U.S. Marshals this afternoon on Laventure Road in Mount Vernon, WA. I've been told his street name is "Trixster", no real name yet. More info to come later. -Brad- Double homicide in Seattle 02/22/2012
I'm trying to keep on top of this latest violence in South Seattle. I've been getting a lot of emails and such about this. I believe there is some kind of a gang tie to this. The older victim has been confirmed at George "P-Nutt" Hendricks, he was one of the original 74 Hoover members in Seattle. The second victim is Lucky Mike Dozier. Just a few things here. In the King County listing I've added the following female gangs to the website. Play Girl Surenas 13, KnoccOut Bitches and Lady Thuggin Savages. I've also added West Side Gangster Disciple Nation and Highway Hoovers to the King County listing. I actually knew about both those gangs, but for whatever reason I overlooked putting them on here. Today I will be following up on a tip that there is some Surenos/Nortenos rival gang graffiti in the South End. I will post the photos if I find anything. Also this weekend (Feb. 17th-19th) I will be in Yakima and I will try to find some graffiti while I'm down there. First thing, the word is a Norteno gang member was shot last night (02/03/12) in the "Blacks Addition" area of Moses Lake. I guess this area is known for it's gang and drug related activities. Last thing I've heard is the victim is in very critical condition in a Spokane hospital. His street name is "Sapo". I'm not ready to release his birth name.
